Learning Objectives

The purpose of integrating the regular practicum and co-operative work placement into a program is to enable students to further their classroom learning in a work environment while adapting to the requirements of the job market. The work experience students acquire during their work placement enriches their learning in the program. 

Practical experience in the labour market enables students to:

• Develop and strengthen qualities sought after in today's job market;
• Understand employer expectations while maintaining professionalism;
• Explore the selected job field.
