Legal Resources in French

The Continuing Education Division (CED) is home to the Centre de ressources en français juridique (CRFJ), a resource centre for legal French that makes resources developed by Université de Saint-Boniface available to interested parties. 

Writing tools

The CRFJ’s tools were developed to help French-speaking common law practitioners across the country read and write legal texts in French. The Centre has a collection of plain language legal documents, including quick-reference glossaries, terminology explanations, legal briefs and case summaries. These resources can be accessed on the CRFJ website.

Workshops

The Centre de ressources en français juridique also offers legal French workshops for legal practitioners across the country (except in Quebec). Workshop participants have a working knowledge of French and come from a variety of professional backgrounds. They seek to strengthen their language skills with a view to enhance their ability to provide services in French.

Online training
