Université de Saint-Boniface is the assessment centre for the Canadian Adult Education Credential (CAEC) in French in Manitoba. This credential is for adult residents of Manitoba who do not have a high school diploma and who need official recognition to access training programs or better employment opportunities. Individuals who pass this test receive a high school equivalency certificate.
The CAEC subtests can be taken from September to June.
Note: The CAEC was introduced in the summer of 2024 to replace the General Education Development (GED) test. The GED, however, remains valid and continues to be recognized by most employers and training institutions. Manitobans who have passed certain GED tests can have them count toward their CAEC tests until May 2027.
