Winnipeg’s Indigenous Accord

Winnipeg’s Indigenous Accord, in which USB participated as a signatory, was adopted unanimously by City Council on March 22, 2017, and represents an important step forward for the City on its journey toward reconciliation. It is an evolving document that guides our pledge to follow a path of reconciliation in Winnipeg. Our shared commitment is rooted in the 94 calls to action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) and adheres to the commitments and principles of the Accord.
