Université de Saint-Boniface's student centre was the setting for a festive evening of great music, food and fun on Friday, September 15 as the community gathered for Équinoxe, an event celebrating Canada's 150th anniversary, and an occasion to inaugurate À tous vents, an art structure created by local artist Madeleine Vrignon.

Located on the USB campus near the main entrance, À tous vents stands majestically at 17 feet tall and consists of 150 maple seeds made of polished stainless steel. The inspiration for the concept stems from fond memories, symbols of hope and faith in the future. "When I think of the important place that USB continues to hold, a bastion for French education in Manitoba, I know that it scatters the seeds of learning to the wind."

The public art project, as well as Équinoxe, were realized with the financial support of the canadian government's Canada 150 Fund in the amount of $150,000.
