A New Co-op Option for the Bachelor's in Business Administration

A New Co-op Option for the Bachelor's in Business Administration

Students of USB’s Bachelor’s in Business Administration program now have a new avenue, a co-operative option offering them a unique working and networking experience.

For a few years now, Stéfan Delaquis, dean of the Faculty of Education and Professional Studies, has been sollicited by the Manitoba business community in order to launch such an initiative. “We’ve finally succeeded in putting together a co-operative component, says a delighted Delaquis. It’s certainly something that’s very important for the program, but also for the Francophone business community.”

The co-operative option is slated to take a minimum of 12 weeks, or 480 hours, in a professional setting between the months on May and August. “It allows students to better understand the challenges of the market force, and it offers them the opportunity to connect with business people in our community, emphasizes Delaquis. An opportunity that would not normally be available to them until after having completed their university degree. »

Madeleine Arbez, coordinator for the co-operative option, will be responsible, among other things, for pairing students with the work force.

Those interested have until December 1st, 2019 to submit an admissions application. Students that meet the requirements and who are selected will be able to start their internship as of May 2019.
